Well, the year's over, I have had the chance to revisit most of the films, and this is my definitive list of films with a UK release date of 2009.

It may still be tweaked if I see some 2009 films in time to come, especially as I hunt down unwatched films with big award nominations.
I've chosen the films to watch very carefully, and, knowing my tastes, find it unlikely. However, each year at least one awards contender takes me by surprise.
